We are a PADI Gold Palm 5 Star IDC Resort, located in the heart of Dahab.
The small city of Dahab lies 80 km north of Sharm el Sheikh, surrounded by the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. The name "Dahab", meaning "Gold", may come from the fine golden sandy beaches that can be found in the area.
Originally a Nabatean port and trade center ( 1st-2nd century AD), and then a Bedouin fishing village, Dahab has become a popular destination with divers, windsurfers, freedivers, and people who just want to chill out and enjoy a very relaxed atmosphere.
In the recent past, Dahab was known as a "hippie" hide-away(!), and the feeling remains. There are many people who still don't wear shoes, "fashion" extends to what color Thai fisherman's pants you buy, or which sarong you are going to put on over your bikini!
There are no trendy night clubs around; just beach parties, Full Moon festivals, and good old fashioned drinking holes!

Sea-front restaurants and cafes in the Bedouin style line the beach, where you can spend an entire day lying around chatting with other travelers and locals, or just looking out at the sea and the view across to Saudi Arabia visible in the distance.
