TDI (Technical Diving International) was founded in 1994 by a group of advanced technical diving instructors as Brett Gilliam and Rob Palmer
They were not satisfied with the technical diving training situation in other certifying organizations and aimed to make technical diving available for the broad spectrum of willing divers
Soon after the association was created the educational materials and courses of TDI were named the best in the technical diving industry and the association was rewarded for the high safety standards of training and diving.
Nowadays all over the world over 10 000 TDI instructors work. Whatever diving direction makes you interested, whether it is Nitrox, Trimix, rebreathers, deep diving, cavern and wreck diving you may be sure that studying this direction with TDI you will get access to the latest dive industry achievements.
We offer you the following courses:
Basic Nitrox
TDI Nitrox course is an entry level course for divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox as a breathing gas. Little else has impacted recreational diving more than the introduction of nitrox, allowing more time underwater. During this course, you will learn the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving with EAN 22 to EAN 40. This course is as well the first step for those will to continue with technical diving
Course content: theory of diving on enriched air, 2 dives using nitrox.
Requirements: minimum age: 15 years old. Minimum certification: Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
Advanced Nitrox
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career as well helping to decrease the decompression time. Advanced Nitrox is a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times. The course includes 4 dives on nitrox with high oxygen concentration.
Requirements: minimum age: 15 years old, minimum certification level: Nitrox Diver, 25 logged dives in open water.
Decompression Procedures
The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving using air or nitrox as deco gases. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The course includes 4 dives.
Requirements: minimum age: 18 years old, minimum certification level - Open Water Diver (or equivalent), minimum 25 logged dives in open water.
Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures
If Advanced Nitrox course is taught in conjunction with Decompression Procedures the total number of dives is 6.
Extended Range
Extended Range course will bring together everything you knew in diving before.
The main course topics are: planning, preparation and conduction of decompression dives on air using nitrox (up to 100% oxygen) for staged decompression, short theory introduction into Trimix, skills mastering, stress resistance training and decompression dives (maximum depth – 55 meters). Total number of dives within the course – 6. Requirements: minimum age: 18 years old, minimum certification level - TDI Advanced Nitrox + TDI Decompression Procedures (or equivalent), minimum 100 logged dives 25 of which should be deeper than 30 meters
Entry Level Trimix
Introduction course for those who consider air mix heavy. Introduction in to Trimix, how to plan and execute dives utilizing as little as 18 percent oxygen and diving to maximum depth of 60 m/200 feet with a blend of helium appropriate for the planned depth. The total number of dives within the course – 4
Requirements: minimum age – 18 years old, minimum certification - TDI Advanced Nitrox + TDI Decompression Procedures (or equivalent), minimum 100 logged dives.
Advanced Trimix
Advanced Trimix course is the top level of training for open circuit divers wishing to dive to depths as deep as 100 m / 330 feet utilizing hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17 percent) This course is perhaps one of the most informative and challenging and upon completion you are among some of the most elite divers.
Number of dives within the course: 4.
Requirements: minimum age -18 years old, minimum certification level - Extended Range или Entry Level Trimix (or equivalent), minimum 100 logged dives 25 of which should be deeper than 30 meters, experience diving with twins.
