In August, 2004 with the challenging idea of IDC Staff instructor Sergey Ogloblin and thanks to the profound approach and knowledge of Marwan Soliman Ok Club Ltd was founded. A legal party was created, as a start point Dahab was chosen and the building of the dive center began.
About Sergey we perhaps want to tell a bit more and with especial warmth. Having tried to dive with a scuba the first time in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Sergey immediately realized that diving will become an important part of his life and kept closer to the depths of the Red Sea. Sergey studied up to PADI Divemaster level in one of the best Sinai’s dive centers – Red Sea Diving College, and this is a good base and great understanding of the high standards of work in dive industry. After he gained the levels of PADI OWSI, MSDT, IDC Staff Instructor and EFR instructor. The first two years Sergey personally controlled the development of the dive center, trained the first clients. Sergey is extremely charming, charismatic, obliging, a captivating and interesting companion – none of those who know Sergey will conceal their sympathy towards him.
In 2005 the company was licensed as a PADI dive center. Soon the vector of development was defined: the management of OK Club decided to stake on the prospective sphere - Instructor Development Courses (IDC). And the dive center got the PADI IDC 5* Gold Palm Resort status.
In September 2005 the first IDC was held. Since then 10 seminars took place, having 80 instructors of the highest training level successfully graduated. And this is not the limit! In the future we are planning to increase the number of seminars as the popularity of IDC courses is growing bigger with every day, more and more people desire to become professionals in the world of diving appear.
August 2006 became another remarkable date in the dive center’s history. Exactly at this point technical diving appeared in Ok Club. This actual direction expanded the horizons of the dive center’s activity. Dahab is a very prospective place for technical dives, gaining more and more popularity among “technicians”. Ok Club now by right is proud with its graduating students – technical divers certified according to DSAT and TDI training systems.
And in September 2006 Ok Club became closer to Russia – the office of the company was opened in Moscow.
Through years of Ok Club’s existence it has established a reputation of a reliable and hospitable club and gained lots of friends in Russia as well as many other countries. The number of constant partners of our dive center, who trust us and are happy with the quality and range of our services, competence of our staff, comfort and safety, is constantly growing.
