Question  – What is the weather in Dahab?
Answer – It is not always hot in Dahab. Sometimes in winter it can be very cold so you would definitely need a sweater, jacket, hat and boots. We highly recommend to have a hat with you if you come for a diving holiday in a winter time, from December to February. It is most of the time windy in Dahab, you would feel it more cold than just the degrees of the temperature. Until summer will be in its full strength, it is usually very warm in a day time, could be around 30C, but directly after the sunset, and in the shortest day light it is around 4 pm, you would need warm clothes.
A lot of people think it is too much hot in Egypt in the summer months, and would never even think to plan their holiday in this time. Dahab is a very comfortable place even in the summer, because of its position in the bay we most time have a refreshing wind and you will feel it much less hot and stuffy as in Sharm which is only 1 hour drive. Choose a hotel with an air conditioner to have a refreshing sleep overnight and during the day spend your time in the water!!! And you can enjoy some advantages of the low season – no too much divers even on the popular divesites and good offers from the hotels and flights.

Question  –What is euro and dollar exchange rate?
Answer – Lately the exchange rate of the dollar is around 5.5 to 5.65 egyptian pounds for one dollar. Euro is around 7.5 egyptian pounds for one euro.

Question  –  Where to stay in Dahab?
Answer – You have to decide yourself if you want a more or less standard resort style of accommodation or you are happy with the approach “I just need a place to sleep”. We tried to give extensive description of most of the hotels you can book with the tourist companies as a package, so that you can have more information to better plan your holiday.
As well you can find on our website the description of small private hotels in the center of Dahab. These hotels are usually not big, without a big territory to walk around, without the swimming pool. There might be no TV and fridge in the room, and they usually offer only breakfast. Question  – What is the temperature of the water and which diving suit is better to take?
Answer – The lowest temperature of the water, 21 degree Celsius, is acute from December till March. In this time you can even bring the drysuit. But you would feel comfortable even with 5 or 7 mm wetsuit (two pieces and with the hood). In the hottest time which is August you can dive with a 2-3 mm shorty.

Question  – Which currency I should pay in the diving center?
Answer – Our diving center is working with euro price list. We accept cash euro as well as dollars and Egyptian pounds according to the current exchange rate. You can pay by credit card, when additional 2,57% is added.

Question  – How much it will cost to have a lunch/dinner in the restaurants on the beach?
Answer – Average your bill for a substantial lunch/dinner in the beach restaurants would be around 80 Egyptian pounds. Seafood is the most expensive in the menu. If a bowl of soup and glass of tea is enough for you, than it would be around 20-3- egp.

Question  – Does the cost of the diving package depends on the choice of the dive site?
Answer – No. The price of the daily diving package day is the same no matter you dive at Cave or at the Lighthouse.
